Vespasian, AD 69-79. Gold Aureus (7.38 g) minted at Rome, AD 70. Laureate head right of Vespasian. Reverse: Aequitas standing left, holding scales and transverse rod. RIC 20. NGC graded AU: Strike 5/5; Surface 3/5.

This lovely aureus is important for its excellent portrait, as well as its significant Jewish historical connection. It was struck in the final years of the Jewish War, and could be well placed antithetically beside a year three, year four or year five Jewish shekel of the First Revolt.
