Otho, AD 69. Gold Aureus (7.32 g) minted at Rome, 15 January AD 69 - mid April AD 69. Bare head right of Otho. Reverse: Securitas standing left, holding wreath and scepter. RIC 7 [as R2]; BMC 13. Attractive portrait with full legends, uncommon for Otho; NGC graded Ch VF: Strike 5/5; Surface 3/5.

On this very rare aureus of Otho, the emperor's wig is quite sharply delineated, just as described by Suetonius, the Roman historian.
