Augustus, 27 BC - AD 14. Gold Aureus (7.85 g) minted at Lugdunum, 15-13 BC. Bare head right of Augustus. Reverse: Bull butting right. RIC 166a [as R2]; BMC 450. Three very light marks in the reverse field; lovely style for this mint; NGC graded AU: Strike 5/5; Surface 4/5.
