Q. Caepio Brutus (M. Junius Brutus), moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, c. 54 BC. Head right of Libertas. Reverse: The consul L. Junius Brutus walking left, between two lictors preceded by an accensus. Junia 31; Cr. 433/1; Syd. 906. Lightly scrubbed, mainly covered by toning. Extremely Fine.

Struck by the legendary Brutus, assassin of Julius Caesar, ten years before the infamous act on the Ides of March. Caesar's death was pivotal to the future of Roman politics.
