Lot 2327

L. Furius Cn.f. Brocchus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, c. 63 BC. Bust right of Ceres between grain-ear and barley-corn. Reverse: Curule chair between fasces. Furia 23; Cr. 414/1; Syd. 902. Extremely Fine.

While a number of sources were used by our collector, it is noteworthy that when it's time to sell, people choose the Goldbergs. This lot, among many others, was selected from an important sale brought to the public by the Goldberg family, handled and catalogued by the same numismatic staff, and now, once again, offered to collectors. It's difficult to believe 22 years have gone by!
Estimated Value $250 - 300.
Ex Superior's Moreira Sale, Part 1 (31 V 88), lot 1714.

Realized $483
