P. Servilius M.f. Rullus, moneyer. AR Denarius minted at Rome, c. 100 BC. Bust left of Minerva wearing crested helmet. Reverse: Victory in biga right; in right field, "P". Servilia 14; Cr. 328/1; Syd. 601. Lightly toned, Extremely Fine.
The letter "P" indicates the source for the precious metal used in the striking of this issue. The mintage was a special one, for silver from the public treasury (Publice) was utilized.
