Kingdom of Macedon. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Gold Stater (8.55 g), minted at Kition, c. 325-320 BC. Helmeted head of Athena right, serpent on helmet. Reverse: Nike standing left, holding wreath in right hand, stylis in left; monogram to left. Cf. Price 3104; cf. M. 1296. Choice Very Fine.
