A certificate granting J. Prichard of Boston, Mass. four shares in the American Express Company; each share cost $500. Decorative engravings at top and down left margin. Blue stamps in upper right corner and mid-left margin read, "Authorised Capital 10,000 Shares Feby 14th 1865." Light toning and small stan at lower left corner, else fine. Matted to 12 x 15¾ in.
