United States, 1975, NASA "Cosmic Ray Lab. "Balloon Flight Cover (No. 9/44) This cover has a Sep. 27 USPS, Texas machine cancel and a printed green cachet and a red, handstamped cachet that reads, in part: "NASA Johnson Space Center. …The detection of cosmic positrons and antiprotons, using superconducting magnets and radiation detectors." Also, a blue Sept. 26, 1975 cachet that reads: "Space Shuttle Covers on balloon, landed near Corrigan, TX" and the signature of Dr. Robert Golden and the notation NASA CR 2. The back of the cover has a black handstamped "Cover No. 9 of 44, Robert S. Baudwin." A copy of a NASA 1976 letter from Robert L. Golden to Robert Boudwin discussing the flight is included. Scarce.
