1837 Liberty Seated Dime. NGC graded MS-62. Seated. No Stars. Even natural toning. During the latter half of the 1830s Mint officials decided to spruce up the silver coinage. They picked Christian Gobrecht's now-famous rendition of an allegorical Liberty seated on a boulder to do it. Mint condition No Drapery Dimes and Half Dimes featuring Gobrecht's original starless design are attractive. Moreover, they were minted only in 1837 and 1838. Pop 27.
Estimated Value $1,300 - 1,400.
