Lot 430

1820 N-13 R1. PCGS graded MS-63 Brown. Large Date. Lustrous bluish steel with a couple swipes of lighter brown toning and traces of faded mint color bleeding through on both sides. The surfaces are covered with satiny mint frost that extends even to the highest points of the design. The only marks are a small scuff in the field off the tip of the nose and a tick on the end of the wreath stem. Sharply struck MDS, the usual Randall Hoard die state for this variety, with a die crack passing through the date and all the stars. Our grade is MS62.
Estimated Value $350-UP.
Ex McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Superior 2/18/02:1327-Evan Kopald.
