(1787) John Bolen copy of the LIBERNATUS Pattern for Thomas Machin in copper Kenney-7. AU-50. Choice glossy light chocolate brown. From the early, unbroken state of the dies. Essentially as struck with a hint of friction on the highest points. Struck by John Bolen of Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1869 with 40 made in copper. Weight 159.8 grains.
