Lot 268

1787 Connecticut Miller 33.34-Z.3 R6. Fine-12. Sharpness VF20 with smooth, attractive surfaces, but there is a dent on the head that caused a slightly bulge at the rump of the seated figure on the reverse. A dull rim nick at the top of the reverse is the only additional defect worthy of consideration. Glossy medium brown. The bottom edge of the date is off the planchet but the rest of the date and all of the legends are strong. Better than the Perkins example in spite of the dent. Weight 143.4 grains.
Estimated Value $150-UP.

Realized $311
