Lot 263

1786 Connecticut Miller 5.7-H.1 R6-. Fine-15. Slightly sharper but fine roughness covers the protected areas on both sides. The microscopic roughness is mixed with some tiny planchet fissures. While the surfaces and planchet are not perfect, they are rather decent for this rare variety. No verdigris or contact marks. Slightly glossy brown and chocolate with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The date is only partially visible but the legends are complete. A bit weakly struck on the lower right of the reverse, as usual for the variety. Weight 120.2 grains.
Estimated Value $100-UP.

Realized $138
