1860 Lincoln/Hamlin Jugate Donut Ferrotype Campaign Medallion. Ferrotype portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin in brass ring, 24.8 mm in diameter; ferrotypes are each 16.65 mm. Obverse shows a clean-shaven Lincoln with his name above; brass is engraved "The Constitution and the Laws 1860". Reverse shows Hannibal Hamlin with his name printed above; brass is engraved, "Union of the States 1860" and decorated with two laurel leaves. Ring has a suspension hole at top. Brass has raised letters and edges. Slight residue from the silver emulsion used to develop ferrotypes, else Very Fine or better.
