Supreme Court Justices - Early 20th Century. Cards signed by five justices whose service was either wholly in the first half of the 20th century or began then. Chief Justice "Charles E. Hughes" signed a plain card, which is affixed to a piece of paper; he lived 1862-1948 and served 1930-41. Two are on Supreme Court cards: "Harold A. Burton / Associate Justice" (lived 1888-1964; served 1945-58); and "Best wishes to Harry Sparks. Tom Clark 12/19/75"; Clark lived 1899-1975 and served 1949-67). "Owen J. Roberts" signed on the back of a cut-down index card; he lived 1875-1955 and served 1930-45. "M.J. Moody" signed on a card engraved "The Secretary of the Navy," which he was 1902-04; he lived 1853-1917 and served on the court 1906-10. Overall about fine.
