Nine items signed by six scientists: Edward Teller (1908-2003) Father of the H Bomb; two 3 x 5 in. cards signed and one business card signed as Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace. Glenn T. Seaborg (1912-99) Discovered (with Edwin McMillan) the element plutonium and won the 1951 Nobel Peace Prize in Chemistry; a card and a 5¼ x 4 in. sheet of paper signed "Glenn T. Seaborg". Charles F. Richter (1900-85) invented scale used to measure the magnitude of earthquakes; business card signed and dated 5/24/76. Dr. Jonas Salk (1914-95) developed the polio vaccine; 3 x 5 in. card signed; Clyde W. Tombaugh (1906-97) the astronomer who discovered Pluto (which has recently been declared not to be a planet); card signed and announcing his discovery in 1930. Margarent Mead (1901-78) anthropologist who studied human development through a cross-cultural perspective. Card signed and dated 1975.
