Meir, Golda & General David Elazar. Autograph Note unsigned, "and many thanks for the 'Constitution of the State of California and of the United States--1971" on a 4 1/8 x 5 1/8 in. card engraved "Prime Minister Golda Meir sends you her warmest seasonal greetings. Jerusalem, December; the year, 1971" was written after the month by the Prime Minister. Meir (1898-1978) was the 4th Prime Minister of Israel (1969-1974). With the transmittal envelope addressed to Walter Karabian, who was a California State Assemblyman. Also, a Typed Letter Signed "D. Elazar" as Lt. General, Chief of the General Staff, 1 page, on engraved "Israel Defence Forces" letterhead, 10½ x 7 in., Tel-Aviv, Jan. 27, 1972, thanking Mr. Karabian for a book. Elazar (1925-76) was forced to resign after the Yom Kippur War.
