Kingdom of Macedon. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. Gold Stater (8.53 g) struck possibly at Babylon, c. 317-311 BC. Head right of Athena wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a snake. Reverse: Nike standing left, holding wreath and stylis; in left field below wing, head of Selinos; in right field below wing, monogram within wreath. Price 3735; M. 729.
