Lot 2364

1800 S-203 R3. Fine-15. Sharpness VF20 but covered with microscopic contact marks. The only marks visible without the aid of a strong glass are a dull scratch in the field under the hair ribbon and another along the right side of the A in STATES. Rather glossy chocolate brown, and the eye appeal of the cent is quite nice in spite of the minor imperfections. MDS, Breen state IV, with strong die clashmarks at the top of the reverse.
Estimated Value $400 - 600.
Ex Darwin B. Palmer-Thomas Wolf, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Goldberg's 2/10/08:1232.
