Great Britain. Groat, ND. S.2316. Henry VIII, 1509-1547. First Coinage (1509-1526). Mint mark, Castle. Obverse: Portrait of Henry VII facing right. Reverse: Long cross over quartered shield. Light buff mark in obverse field. Deeply toned and fully round, this coin has one of the sharpest and most crisply struck early Tudor portraits we have seen. A truly exceptional example. Extremely Fine or better.
