The Virgin seated facing on square-backed throne, holding before her nimbate head. of the infant Christ, stars to l. and to r. above arms of throne. Rev. Facing stg. figures of Theodore, on l., and Christ, with nimbus cr., on r., the emperor wearing divitision, jeweled loros and sagion and holding sheathed sword and akakia, Christ crowning the emperor with r. hand and holding book of Gospels in l.
