The Virgin Hagiosoritissa, nimbate, stg. facing, her hands uplifted (orans), stars in lower field to l. and to r. Rev. Facing stg. figures of St. Demetrius, on r., and Theodore, on l., the saint, who stands on dais, nimbate and wearing military attire and presenting triple-towered castle to the emperor who wears crown, divitision and jeweled loros, manus Dei in upper center field.
