Theodore I, Comnenus-Lascaris, 1208-1221. Electrum or Silver Aspron Trachy. Nomisma (3.9g), Nicaea 1208-12. Christ seated facing on square-backed throne, wearing nimbus cr. and holding book of Gospels. Rev. Facing stg. figures of Theodore, on l., and St. Theodore, on r., holding between them long staff surmounted by star, the emperor wearing crown, divitision and jeweled loros and holding sheathed sword, the saint nimbate and in military attire and also holding sheathed sword.
