Sicily, Syracuse. Dionysios I, 405-400 BC (or somewhat later). AR Dekadrachm (42.59 g). Unsigned dies in the style of the master celator Euainetos. Charioteer driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flies right, crowning charioteer. Reverse: Wreathed head left of Arethusa wearing triple-pendant earring and necklace, surrounded by four swimming dolphins; behind head in right field, star of four rays; underneath chin, pellet.
