Sicily, Syracuse, c. 483-480 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.1 g). Quadriga driven at steady pace right by charioteer; above, Nike flying right to crown horse. Reverse: Pearl-diademed head right of Arethusa, wearing beaded necklace; hair gathered in short tail; all surrounded by four dolphins swimming clockwise. Boehringer 62 (V32/R41); SNG ANS 15; cf.
