English Or American Cutlass/Hanger. Avery nice example of an English or American Cutlass/Hanger, circa. early 18th century. 21¾" curved blade (unmarked). Brass guard with decorated knuckle. Bow divides into two tails which, in turn, support an oval outboard shell guard bearing raised cherub and floral designs. Antler grip. A very nice example and type used in the Americas.
