Washington: Government Printing Office, 1889, folio, 578pp. Original cloth covers show moderate wear; interior is lightly toned, else fine. Housed in a custom-made, two-tone brown case of finely woven burlap and buckram. Whyte was a Maryland politician who served as a United States Senator, Maryland Governor, the Mayor of Baltimore, and the State Attorney General.
