Lot 1173

1883 Morgan Dollar. PCGS graded Proof 63 Cameo. Lightly toned. A choice, presentable specimen with some faint hairlines in the pale golden toned fields with much mirror "depth" still intact and luster in the form of satiny frost on the devices on both sides. Nicely struck as well, which is only to be expected from a Proof, with note even a hint weakness in the devices. For the collector looking to own one of these, considerations of marks or spotting will not trouble you here, the coin has been stored all these years away from harm. 979 Proofs struck. Pop 9; 20 finer; 10 in 64; 5 in 65; 5 in 66. (PCGS # 87318) .
Estimated Value $2,300 - 2,400.
