[Huntington, General Ebenezer] War Of 1812 Orders. War of 1812 printed orders from "Eben.(ezer) Huntington, Adjutant-General," to Connecticut militia commanders, to prepare their units for quick deployment, "in case an alarm should happen," 6¼ x 7 in., Norwich (Ct.), 28 June 1813. In this general order, Huntington requires that each soldier be equipped and have at least twenty-four rounds of Ball cartridges ready." The first we have seen and certainly extremely scarce as such.
