Byrd, Richard E. by Walter Tittle. Original "Artist Proof" Portrait by Walter Tittle, inscribed and signed "To King Hostick with high regard and admiration - R.E. Byrd" in rich black fountain pen, 9½ x 7 in., n.p., n.d. (Hostick was a noted Illinois manuscript dealer). The image also bears Byrd's facsimile signature along the bottom border. A well-preserved portrait, elaborately matted with a biographical plaque, then richly framed to total dimensions of 29¼ x 18¼ in.
