Manuscript document signed by Sir Richard Sackville (1513-66), Chancellor of the Exchequer, and by Sir Walter Mildmay (1520-89), who was Privy Councillor and Treasurer of Queen Elizabeth 's household (he would become Chancellor of the Exchequer upon the death of Sackville in 1566), 1p, 9 x 8½ in. October 1564. Regarding payment to Richard Hodgson for a "tenement." Very good; some age toning and soiling.
