STS-51D/51G, 1985, Crew Patches. The original crew of STS-51D (Brandenstein, Creighton, Lucid, Nagel, Fabian, Jarvis and Walker) were reshuffled, once STS-51D was cancelled. All but Jarvis and Walker were reassigned to STS-51G and Baudry and Al-Saud were added as their replacements. The same orange, red and blue crew patch was used as was issued for STS-51D, with a tab for the added crew members. Less than 100 of the original crew patches were believed distributed before the mission was cancelled. Both cancelled and re-issued patches are included in this lot along with matching decals. The original patch and decal are almost impossible to locate today. Both are in excellent condition.
