Ashanti Wood Carving. 12 in. carving of a woman with shells attached to each arm. Purchased c. 1964 at Spanierman Gallery from Ira Spanierman's father, who ran a well-known auction house at 50th and Madison Avenue in New York City. Recent carvings sell for $20-30, but this carving is at least 45 years old.
Estimated Value $200 - 400.
