Lot 61

1804 C-9 R2. EF-40 Plus. Slightly sharper but a glass reveals some extremely tiny contact marks covering the portrait, the marks so tiny they make the affected surface appear satiny. A fine hairline scratch well hidden in the drapery folds over the 4 in the date is the only notable contact mark. Frosty steel brown and chocolate with lustrous lighter brown in protected areas. A tiny spot of reddish chocolate toning in the field over the bust and a similar spot of toning on the tip of the left wreath stem are good identifying marks. M-LDS, Manley state 4.0, with a strong cud break connecting RTY to the rim.
Estimated Value $400 - 600.
Ex Gene Braig 9/94-Doug Bird 7/97.
