Lot 3879

1925-S Buffalo Nickel. NGC graded MS-64. Star. Lovely rainbow toning on both sides. The "star" not only applies to the grade but also to the coin's ranking on the buffalo nickel ladder of desirability, since this one is, without mincing words, a star-attraction in the sale! A frosty gem, to be sure. One with strong underlying luster from the dies that reinforce the beauty of the color, the surfaces are without blemish. They are as free from spotting as any we've seen, and as far ahead of the competition as bidders will discover. Pop 1; 16 finer in 65 (PCGS # 3956) .
Estimated Value $5,000 - 5,500.
The Harpeth Valley Collection.

Realized $8,338
