Mexico. Order of Guadeloupe. Officer Badge in Gold. Civil Division, gold and enamels, 62mm x 37mm. Design as Werlich-913 and Grove O-26. Superb quality manufacture by expert craftsmen, including a beautifully hand painted enameled rendition of the Virgin within the central oval medallion. We note a tiny test area on the right reverse eagle wing tip, otherwise Choice Nearly Mint State. Mounted on an old narrow width watered silk ribbon with rosette. Very Rare in gold and especially this nice.
