German States - Hesse-Cassel. Taler, 16Z8-TS. Dav-6736A; Schütz-747.2; KM-98.3; Hoffm.855 Var. Mintmaster TS (Terenz Schmidt, 1621-1634). Wilhelm V, 1627-1637. Three helmets above shield of arms. Reverse Tree in storm, sun above with Hebrew "JEHOVAH", date in legend. Toned. Very Scarce date. NGC graded EF-40.

The legend on these Storm Talers reads, in Latin, "Deo volente humilis levabor". Translated, this means the lowly will be raised according to the will of God.
