Great Britain. Kings of All England. AR Penny, ND (York, struck 1065-1066). North-831; S-1184. 1.17 grams. Edward the Confessor, 1042-1066 AD. Pyramids type. Crowned, draped and bearded bust right, scepter before; EADPARD REX around. Reverse: Central circle, small voided cross within and annulet center, in three angles, a narrow pyramid with pellet finial, annulet in last angle; +ALEIF ON EOFRPIC(I?) around. Bold portrait, with generally strong legends. Good flan and metal. Silvery to dark blue-gray toning. Lustrous. NGC graded MS-61.
