Great Britain. Kings of All England. AR Penny, ND (Northampton mint). North-752; S-1141. 1.31 grams. Eadgar, 959-975 AD. Reform coinage; Reform Portrait type. Central circle, diademed and draped bust left within; + EADGAR REX ANGLO RX around. Reverse: Central circle, small cross pattee within; + LEOF SIG M-O HANT? around. Well struck on good metal. Old, even, deep gray toning -- the reverse a bit lighter, with brown overtones. Very Rare portrait issue in splendid condition. NGC graded AU-55.
