Great Britain. Kings of Kent. AR Penny, ND (Rochester mint). North-217 var. (moneyer); S-881. 1.26 grams. Baldred, 823-825 AD. Draped and diademed bust right; + BALDRED REX around. Reverse: Cross Moline at center; EDELMOD MONTA around. Crisply struck, on choice metal, full flan. Some residual mint luster. Dark toning, reflecting intense blues and slight magentas in areas. Extremely Rare. Among the finest extant examples of this great rarity. NGC graded MS-62.
