United States. Gold 10 Dollars, 1799/99. NGC graded MS-61. Taraszka 22; Breen 5-G. 17.43 grams. Capped bust, heraldic eagle type; Large Stars, Type II. Draped bust of Liberty right, with high cap. Reverse: Heraldic eagle with shield at breast, stars above. Fine, bold strike, with only slight softness at Liberty's shoulder, and only one star above the eagle a bit weak. Just a hint or two of adjustment marks. With appealing luster and toning.
