Dayan, Moshe (1915-1981) Dayan commanded the forces in the Jerusalem area during the War of Independence and led the 1956 invasion of the Sinai. Autograph letter signed "Moshe Dayan" in Hebrew, two separate pages, 7" x 5", Jerusalem, Israel, May 12, 1950, to the painter Mr. Ludwig Blum, thanking him for his kind gift. Dayan begins with: "I doubt that I can express in a few words my heartfelt thanks to you for your painting of Jerusalem that you gave me for my birthday." Overall in Fine condition.
