Truman Inaugural Medal - 1949. Bronze, 51mm, by Carl Paul Jennewein. 7,500 were made. Obverse has a left-profile bust of Truman with a border of stars. On verso is a woman wearing the Phrygian Cap, symbolizing Liberty, and holding a branch of laurel; below her is a group of massed figures, representing the aspirations of humanity for Freedom; on either side is "Harry S Truman Inaugurated" and "President of the United States Jamuary 20 1949."
