[Seward, William H.]. 15½" x 12" lithographic profile portrait of President Lincoln's Secretary of State, William H. Seward (1801-1872), based on a photo by Brady and engraved by A.H. Ritchie. Seward survived an attack in the Lincoln assassination plot and was later responsible for the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867.
