NASA "FORTY YEARS SERVICE AWARD". This lot consists of an enamel lapel pin with a diamond inset (the various awards have different jewels inset into them) and a framed certificate (11x9") that reads: "National Aeronautics and Space Administration / Forty Year Service Award / Presented to Jerome B. Hammack in grateful recognition and appreciation of faithful service…" The certificate is dated 5.29.84 and is hand-signed by Administrator James Biggs (?). A rare award that shows Mr. Hammack's service dated back to NACA days in 1944. Few NASA employees had such a long, and distinguished employment history.
