Space Art, 1988, "Space for Peacefull Cooperation" (78x38") A rare, three part multicolor poster (each piece is 26x38") with text on the left-hand panel reads: "Space for Peacefull Cooperation - April 12th - The Day of Cosmonautics". The central panel depicts the launching of the Phobos space ship. The text on the right-hand panel reads: "The Soviet Union will launch the Phobos spacecraft in 1988. The aim of the launch is the international study of the planet Mars and its satellite Phobos, the Sun and interplanetary space. Scientists from Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, The German Democratic Republic, Poland, the USSR, France, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the Europen Space Agency are taking part in experiments". The poster was printed by the "Plakat" ("The Poster") Printing House in Moscow. Due to its large size and fungeable nature, few examples of this poster have survived. Good overall condition and beautiful addition to any collection.
