Shuttle Program, "Bill Douglas" Autograph. On the mat (16x13.5") surrounding a color photo of a Shuttle coming in for a landing and being "chased" by a T-38 jet on the alert for problems during the landing. This photo was probably taken during the Approach & Landing Test Program (Precourser to the Shuttle Program) as Bill Douglas (head of Douglas Aviation at the time) has inscribed the mat to the consignor: "Deke - Congratulations on a very successful First Free Flight! Question: When did Enterprise separate from the T-38?". An interesting behind-the-scenes presentation piece.
Estimated Value $250 - 350.
Ex. the Donald "Deke" Slayton Estate collection.

Realized $144
