APOLLO 8, 1968, FLOWN, MANNED FLIGHT AWARENESS MEDALLION (1.5") This medallion is inscribed on the reverse: "In appreciatiation for your contribution to the Apollo Saturn Project, The Apollo 8 crew carried metal in this medallion on man's first flight to the moon". The medallion is inscribed on a slightly faded presentation certificate (framed to 9x12") with a printed inscription and a printed Frank Borman autograph. In addition, Borman has HAND-inscribed the certificate: "Jerry, Thank you very much. The recovery was perfect (signed) Frank Borman". Jerry Hammack was the Director, Landing and Recovery Division during the Apollo Program. ALSO an invitation card to the Apollo 8 launch signed and notated by James Lovell "You'all come" and a crew patch from the flight. Attractive.
