Balloon, 1980, FLOWN "Double Eagle IV" Flight Cover. As carried by Abruzzo and Newman (handstamped signatures on the reverse). While not as important as it was a Gordon Bennett flight and not a record-breaking flight, this cover is next to impossible to find for those interested in collecting the complete series of "Double Eagle" flown covers. It has the launch cancel of "Balloon Race Station, 26 April" on the face and a landing cancel of "Taft, CA, April 29" on the reverse. ALSO included are an unframed and rarely seen "The Cargo Airship System poster (c.1985) and an unframed Chesley Bonestell, 1977 print of "Mira Cen". A diverse and interesting lot.
